It's been too long...

Sense the last time I posted in December we've come a long way, 6 months to be exact!! Over the past 6 months we've had lots of fun!! We've met some neighbors, two who are stay home moms with kids around the same ages as the Cam and Kiki, and one family that works but my children have become great friends with their little girl.

I got to help throw a baby shower for a friend, who's sense become the mother to sweet baby Charis after a long journey to get there...
We've celebrated Kiera's 4th birthday with our new neighbor friends...

I've been kinda crafty...

We had an Easter party at the neighbors...

Grandma Susan came up to visit for Easter and planted a garden with the kids...

We went to North Carolina to celebrate Easter with Michales grandpa...

We've done a lot of playing outside...

And we've done a lot of water fun too...

And we're just getting started on our summer fun before both my babies start school in August. Yep, Cam will be in Kindy and Kiki in Pre-K... they are growing up soo fast!! :)

Visitors!!

We are still slowly adjusting to being so far away from all our friends and family. It gets better as the hours turn into day and the days turn into weeks, and it seems like the weeks have turned into months so quickly. I miss my friends and family dearly, and wish I would have spent more time with them while I was there. That saying "you don't know what you've got until it's gone" is so true. They're not gone, but they're not as easily accessible as they were!!
Ive gone back to visit, more often than I should, thanks to my hubby understanding I'll go crazy if I'm away for too long, and my visits will get further and fewer!! All my visits have had good cause (I think!) like my besties surprise 25th birthday (mine only being 2 days after hers!) so we could celebrate together, and my sisters baby shower for Lyla Rea, which I couldn't miss!! We wont be back until Christmas, which seems like it's taking forever to get here!
In the mean time, I've been trying to get any and everyone to come visit us!! Our first visitors, who came the second weekend of November, were Grammie, Caroline and Mo. They came to see our new house and help get everything set up and painted!! They were such a big help and I couldn't have gotten the kids rooms done without them!! And just this past weekend we had our second set of visitors, Grandpa and Jan, who were long overdue for a visit!! :) They only stayed one night, but it was super fun having them here and getting to show them our new house and take them around downtown. It was fun being able to be the ones to show people around rather than being the ones getting the tour!!
We took them to the river walk, and drove them through downtown. Nothing too exciting, but it was fun just getting to spend time with them! While they were here I took advantage of Jan's awesome camera and had her take some Christmas photos of us, in attempts to send out Christmas cards on time!! Out of the 200+ pictures we took, I'm hoping we get a few good ones that are card worthy! About getting them out on time, I can't promise anything!! Here are a few previews of the fun we had at our photo shoot at the Savannah River Walk and a building just waiting for us!!

My First Post!! (kind of!)

So, my sister and I were talking yesterday, and she thinks I should start blogging more. I'm not a huge fan of expressing how I'm feeling, but she had a good point. Make it about the kids, with pictures, and a few words about what they are doing, and I guess I could throw a few things in there about me and hubs!! :) I post most of my stuff on FB so this will probably be kind of a repeat if you're a daily FBer like myself!! lol. But per my sisters request, I'll attempt this blog!!

Yesterday, December 1st, was Grammies birthday. I got the kids all excited about singing the Happy Birthday song when she answered the phone! So after breakfast, they sat in anticipation, baby girl starting a little sooner out of pure excitement, until Grammie finally picked up saying "Hello". I nodded my head for them to start, baby girl took over singing the loudest with me and little man in the background. I think Grammie loved it, I know the kids thought it was really fun.
This is the first birthday I've every spent not in the same town as my mom, so I'll admit, when she said "thank you, I miss you guys" I teared up. It's been hard not being in town anymore, but it makes the visits that much more fun and memorable.

I guess with little mans birthday this coming up Monday, and Grandpa and Jan coming to visit for the first time this weekend, I should start start decorating the house for Christmas and get my plan together for his little party!! With a our house being bigger than any one we've had before, I'm a little hesitant on bringing out the decorations we have for the holiday. I love to decorate, especially for Christmas, but I'm just afraid we wont have enough stuff to make the house look the way I want it to. I guess I'll just have to add on as money permits!! :) well, I'll try to post some pictures soon of the decorated house and the littles!!

For now, this is my attempt at blogging!! lol... just give me a few posts to work out all my grammar and punctuation, I'll have to rack my brain from high school (when I had the best English teachers EVER!)
